I wrote this track in the beautiful French Pyrenees whilst recording the Nothing Concrete album 'Humanitarium'. Inspired by the fleeting nature of time and love.
lyrics
Your fingers dance on my skin,
As we whisper our long goodbyes on this solemn drive.
And love is gone before it could arrive.
I burn your face deep into my eyes because
A week is not long enough
And life won't wait,
And I'm not strong enough
To ask you to stay.
Your voice echoes in my head
Our paths may cross if we give it time,
For now they must divide and misalign
But love is gone before it could shine.
I drink your words when we finish all the wine because
A week is not long enough,
And life won't wait,
And I'm not strong enough
To ask you to stay,
Your voice echoes in my head
